Our new and improved website is designed to update you on recent activity surrounding our clinic and our clients.Many new and exciting events are underway for 2008! The least of which is the construction of a new building consisting of a small animal clinic (Lebanon Small Animal Clinic [LSAC]), expanded barn and treatment area, and office expansion of the current facility. Our Veterinarians:
William Lukens, DVM: is a 1980 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and comes from a family of veterinarians. His grandfather (Dr. Bill Lukens) and his uncle (Dr. Bill Lukens) both from Hillsboro, OH were 1912 and 1938 graduates of Ohio State's Veterinary College. Dr. Lukens concentrates his practice on the diagnosis and treatment of lameness in show and performance horses and thoroughly enjoys the challenge of difficult cases. Michael Farwick, DVM:
is a 1991 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He followed in his father, Dan's, footsteps, who started the practice in 1958. He has a special interest in lameness, particularly relating to racetrack cases and ultrasound. Scott Strosnider, DVM: is a 1998 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed an internship at Rood And Riddle Equine Hospital prior to joining LEC in 1999. Dr. Strosnider is interested in alternative forms of medicine such as acupuncture and chiropractics while remaining interested in his background of cutting and pleasure horses. Derek McFadden, DVM: is a 1998 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. McFadden joined LEC in the summer of 2000 after 2 years of service in a 10 doctor equine practice in Northeastern Ohio (Aurora Equine Veterinary Services/Equine Specialty Hospital) . He has particular interest in Equine Reproduction and Embryo Transfer in addition to Thoroughbred racing, and Performance Quarter Horses . Bryan McNabb, DVM: is a 2003 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Growing up in the Cincinnati area, he was a member of the United States Pony Club and competed in dressage, cross country, and show jumping events. Bryan was the four year president of his class as well as being honored as the most outstanding student for "Excellence in Equine Medicine and Surgery." Dr. McNabb most enjoys the diagnosis and treatment of challenging lameness and medical cases. He has recently taken up the sport of polo and enjoys trail riding on his farm. In addition to all the services we have offered in the past, we are proud to announce exciting advancements in treatment options and facility improvements. Unlike in the past, we will be fully equipped to admit a wide range of medical cases that require 24 hour monitoring and care. This is particularly helpful for medical colics requiring IV fluid therapy, isolation diarrhea cases, neonatal treatment and much more.

Internship Opportunities
In 2008 the clinic is offering its first internship opportunity. This position is designed to offer a 1 year opportunity to a veterinarian so they can experience all the facets of a successful practice. The structure is designed to offer the intern a learning opportunity while they offer us new and exciting knowledge to incorporate into the existing practice. Externships
Externships are a great opportunity for Veterinary Students and Veterinary Technician Students to gain additional experience. The positions are only available to those who are qualified and acceptance is based on resume submission and approval. Depending on availability the extern would have the opportunity to ride with one of our veterinarians and see close-up how both field and hospital surgeries are performed.
